These are just a few of the events that the Northern Beaches Social Riders have been up to.
Ride 4 Sophie, June 2007
We rode out to our meeting point in Homebush & from there it was off to the Harbord Diggers. We
had the privilege of meeting Sophie Delezio, the most beautiful & courageous little girl.
Skirmish, July 2007
Off to Heartbreak Ridge & let the fun begin. During the day we played on several fields shooting at
anything that moved along with being shot ourselves. One of the best parts was listening to the stories
at the end of the day.
Blood & Guts Run , August 2007
Going through Wallacia, Mulgoa & on to Glenbrook at the base of the Blue Mountains it was then off to
Nepean Hospital to donate blood. Even with a couple fainting we still managed to donate enough blood
to hopefully save fifteen lives.

Pink Ribbon Ride, October 2007
With around 42 bikes meeting at the Terrey Hills Tavern we headed off to Campbelltown RSL where the
run was to begin. With a few hundred bikes dressed in pink we were off for the ride & then back to
Campbelltown RSL for the presentation of awards. We were very proud to receive the 1 st place award
for the Best Club Attendance together with the Hawkesbury chapter of the Ulysses club.

The Black Powder Championships, November 2007
This was our weekend away at Teralba & it was like stepping back in time with everyone in full cowboy/cowgirl
gear along with the authentic saloons where refreshments & food was served. What an adrenaline rush it was to
watch people in full costume running through shooting ranges, shooting targets & then the top 16 shooters of the
day competed in a shoot out.

Christmas Party, December 2007
This was held at the Belrose Bowling Club & what a great night. The atmosphere was full of the festive season &
the theme was ‘what you want to be when you grow up’. There was great food, entertainment, music, lots of laughter
& great company, this was a fantastic way to end a really busy & successful year.
Dooralong Valley Resort Family Weekend, February 2008
This was NBSR’s second weekend away to Dooralong & once again it had it all, golf, egg & spoon races, pool pony races, canoeing, three legged races, late nights, early mornings & so much more. A wonderful weekend where new friendships were formed and existing ones strengthened.

Royal Easter Show, March 2008
For the third year running we were invited back by the Pittwater Motor Enthusiasts Club to be a part of the parade in the main arena on two nights. With several thousand onlookers applauding and cheering the adrenaline was pumping.

Wedding Escorts, April 2008
Another thing our club gets involved with are escorts & we had a busy month with two wedding escorts. We had the most perfect weather & some gorgeous brides. As a result, donations were made to our chosen charities. Thank you.
