Northern Beaches Social Riders 1st Youth Off The Streets Scholarship recipient – Brett Brett’s Visit to Sydney, January 2006 Brett is the clubs first Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets Scholarship recipient. Northern Beaches Social Riders flew Brett to Sydney from Lismore for a few days to meet the club members. During his stay he experienced a one on one tour of the bush and several Aboriginal carvings at West Head on the Northern Beaches, a tour of Cottage Point Bush Fire Brigade, Australia Day at Forestville, a motorbike ride from Forestville to Ettalong, a ferry trip from Ettalong to Palm Beach, Hot Rod and Harley rides, a personal tour of the quarantine and veterinary sections at Taronga Zoo, a motorbike ride to Harry’s Café De Wheels and a helicopter ride over Pittwater, Palm Beach, Sydney Harbour and the Opera House. Northern Beaches Social Riders 2nd Youth Off The Streets Scholarship recipient 2006/2007 – William Youth Off The Streets Shine Ball, September 2006 This event was held at the Hilton Hotel where we met our second Scholarship recipient, William. He has a significant talent in artistic roller-skating, competing in both state and national levels along with skills in gymnastics and trampolining. Surrounded by tuxedos and flowing gowns, the evening was truly amazing. It was surprising to see how good our members can look. Photos of Youth Off The Street Shine Ball
Brett’s Send Off, March 2007 Brett, the club’s first Youth Off The Streets Scholarship recipient was heading off along with 120 others on a bike challenge ride from Sydney to Surfers Paradise. We met for dinner at Hornsby RSL to give Brett our best wishes.
William’s State Titles, April 2007 William, the club’s second Youth Off The Streets Scholarship recipient was competing in the state titles held at the Brick Pit in Thornleigh. The final tally of marks put William in second place. Photos of William’s State Titles
Newcastle Scoot & Skate, May 2007 This was the Northern Beaches Social Riders turn to do something different. Arriving in Newcastle we picked William & his mother Dorothea up on the back of the bikes & we where off to the local ice skating rink for what was to be a fun filled day with plenty of laughs & a few bruises. Northern Beaches Social Riders 3rd Youth Off The Streets Scholarship Recipient 2007/2008 – Josh Youth Off The Streets Scholarship Dinner, September 2007 This event was held at the Westin Hotel, Sydney where we met our third Scholarship recipient, Josh. He is a remarkable young man with a great outlook on life & a heap of personal drive & motivation. Another glamorous & amazing evening where we were entertained by our MC Mike Munro & Paulini who sang her hits. Photos of the Scholarship Dinner
