Dooralong Valley Resort Family Weekend, February 2008 This was NBSR’s second weekend away to Dooralong & once again it had it all, golf, egg & spoon races, pool pony races, canoeing, three legged races, late nights, early mornings & so much more. A wonderful weekend where new friendships were formed and existing ones strengthened. Photos of Dooralong Valley Resort Family Weekend
For the third year running we were invited back by the Pittwater Motor Enthusiasts Club to be a part of the parade in the main arena on two nights. With several thousand onlookers applauding and cheering the adrenaline was pumping. Photos of the Royal Easter Show
Another thing our club gets involved with are escorts & we had a busy month with two wedding escorts. We had the most perfect weather & some gorgeous brides. As a result, donations were made to our chosen charities. Thank you. Photos of the Wedding Escorts This is a ride in honour of Sophie Delezio, a beautiful & courageous little girl. Upon meeting at the Terrey Hills Tavern we rode out to our meeting point which was at the Sydney Showground in Homebush & from there it was off to the Harbord Diggers.
We set off for our second Blood & Guts run, going through Wallacia, Mulgoa & on to Glenbrook for breakfast it was then off to Nepean Hospital to donate blood. Everyone was in fine form, plenty of laughter and jokes going around especially as the needles went in. A couple of hours later after we were all full of milkshakes, crackers and cheese, jelly beans and Tim Tams we were off. Photos of the Blood & Guts Run
This was a ride for “A Brother Lost, Never Forgotten”. We rode from the Terrey Hills Tavern to North Richmond Panthers for breakfast then back to the Terrey Hills Tavern for the afternoon festivities and celebration of Teddy’s life. A truly great way to remember a Brother. Photos of Teddy's Memorial Ride
With around 57 bikes meeting at the Terrey Hills Tavern we headed off to Hornsby RSL where the run was to begin. With a few hundred bikes dressed in pink we were off for the ride to Pitt Town then back to Hornsby RSL for the presentation of awards. We were very proud to receive the 1st place award for the Best Club Attendance with 76 registered attendees. Photos of the Pink Ribbon Ride
