A few weeks ago my 4 year old nephew Leon Nero was diagnosed with Leukaemia.

Leon’s parents, John & Leigh Nero, have now begun a very stressful and heart breaking journey.

Having two children of my own under the age of 7, I can’t begin to imagine the emotions running through my family’s minds.

Never would I have thought that the charity “Cure Our Kids” that my parents Glenn & Emilia Nicholls along with all the NBSR members belong to
and support would ever come into place to help one of our own family members.

In the 6 years that my family have been a part of NBSR, I thought I knew what Cure Our Kids and the NBSR organisation was all about and what
they do for the families of sick children……………...I was wrong.

It is this month I came to realise the dedication, support, emotions and hard work that these organisations devote their time and resources to these
families.

It is this month I came to realise that it's not all about “raising money”.
It is about putting some positive life back into the parents and their families.
It is about putting a little happiness and a smile on the sick child’s face even if is just for a short moment.
It is about making the difficult challenge easier for kids with Cancer.

Leon has now begun his lengthy treatment in Westmead Children's Hospital. We hope and pray with all our hearts that the road he is now travelling on,
be a successful, positive and hopeful outcome.

Thank you to all the NBSR team and Cure Our Kids who have been so supportive through this. Your dedication is truly amazing and we will keep
you informed on Leon’s progress.

It is so good to be a member of NBSR. I am now in my 6th year and am still loving it. Love my biker friends and the money we raise for the kids.

I would just like to say what an experience it was for myself, my family and the bridal party on my sister (Belinda's) wedding day as we were
escorted to the church.
We all felt like royalty. It was truly unbelievable. The way the road captains Narelle, Philippe and Dougie worked together was amazing and
very well organised.
Thanks to Jarrod who led our "Royal Escort" and got us safe and sound to Manly. (My sons Lucas & Michael also thank Jarrod for the toilet stop!!)
And to all the NBSR members who came along for the ride, it was magnificent. A donation was made to Father Chris Riley Youth Of The Streets for this service.

Well, a big thank you to all riders on the Pitt Town ride today. It was my first ride with the club and must say everyone I meet was very
friendly and made me feel very welcome.
To start the day, Adam laid down the rules for a safe ride with the marshals doing a great job to keep everyone together as a group.
Had a great lunch, then a ride back to the tavern for a much needed drink. Look forward to the next ride day, and maybe
able to join club in the future, many thanks.

What a fantastic ride and day I had last Sunday -'Pink' ride for breast cancer.  This is only the second ride I have done with this group and I
thoroughly enjoyed it.  I felt a bit 'underdressed' with my pink jacket! Some of the riders went to great lengths with their clothing and bikes it looked
fantastic and the public enjoyed it too by the toots and waves we got as we rode by.
Not only was I made to feel welcome amongst the group but I also had a free picnic lunch.  Looking forward to the next ride I can make it to.
