Firstly I would like to say a big fat thank you to all those NBSR that I have met over the past few weeks. I feel that you all have welcomed me with open arms as a visitor. You guys and gals have and show a remarkable strong bond with each and every person associated within this club.
Your cause and purpose for this club I find to be remarkable and each of you should be very proud for whom you are and what you believe in. Today was your celebration of your 5th anniversary and I was privileged to be apart of that. Thankyou and congratulations. Today... (being Sunday) was another very exciting day for me and I have had a few of them now since hanging with NBSR.
Thanks to you guys I can't believe I was that excited to see you guys and gals that I was awake at 5:30am this morning prepared and ready to go. It was another outstanding day and the weather was spectacular. I had a great day and I would like to say once again thank you to each and every one of you for letting me be a part of your celebrations. You guys rock.
See you soon, Shane. I was one of the lucky winners of the Grease On The Beach silent auction Harley ride prizes and I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the trip to Palm Beach and back. Special thanks go to Leo, my rider, who let me hang on for dear life while easing my concerns with friendly chats along the way!
I loved being on the bike - the sense of freedom and of being invincible, was intoxicating. The wind on one's face has got to be one of the most uplifting feelings in the whole world.
The highlight was Wakehurst Parkway, a suggestion by Leo, which gave me a chance to really feel the need for speed. While overtaking cars on the Parkway I felt a permanent smile plastered to my face - and it wasn't just the g-force putting it there!
Thanks Leo, I had a ball!! This is certainly the case of the Northern Beaches Social Riders Club.
During my short association with this club I have observed and spoke to some interesting personalities, each with their own stories to tell and songs to sing but they all have the same sense of purpose and all with a wonderful warmth and openness.
I have now had the first hand opportunity to see this family in action; whether it by raising monies for kids with Cancer, celebrating the birthday of a Youth Off the Streets young person to the high standards set while riding.
As an outsider I was fortunate to be able to present a crisis situation to this family; regarding Youth Mental Health and Youth Suicide and I must say I was absolutely blown away by openness and positive response that I received regarding this problem in this country and to have on top of all their other commitment over 20 riders put their hands up in support was nothing short of amazing.
Families of this nature are generally as result of good leadership and this is certainly the case with Glenn.
I would like to sincerely say, I thank you, I honour you and I love you all.
Kindest regards Joe Campbell Ozzie Road Trip - 2008

You have blessed and encouraged many with your caring hearts and fundraising. You are in our prayers. National Day of Thanksgiving 2008. Thanks for the coffee Glenn :o) Name: Peter SellarE-mail: psellar@live.com.auCity: AmbarvaleState/Province: NSWSent: 04/27/2008 06:04:38 amI met you guys for the first time at the Wollongong Poker Run in Feb this year. I know that most poker runs are organised to help a charity, but to see you guys travel down, and stay overnight on the Sat, so you would make the whole event for an event to help disabled kids has restored my faith in these events. Thanks from a solo rider who attended to support a good cause. He stopped and offered me a ride even though he seemed to be heading in the opposite direction to me. He passed on a club card and I'm just learning about all the wonderful things this great organisation is involved with. Yes indeed the motorcycling community certainly has some thoughtful, generous souls. thanks again. Keep up the good work.
If you ever need a stunt show, give us a shout... ;) Name: Helen SamiosE-mail: helensamios@optusnet.com.auCity: SydneyState/Province: NSWCountry: AustraliaSent: 09/13/2007 11:31:52 pmLet's be honest! When it comes to our health & the health of our Loved Ones, we take it for granted.... If we were offered just 'one' wish.....how many people would request the health (therefore, happiness)of the Loved Ones as their one & only wish???? Now, offer that same wish to a parent of a sick child, I don't think there would be a second of hesitation. I have so much admiration for the strength, hope & determination in sick children & the families of sick children. They need our help, support & generosity. NBSR have & continue to make a difference in so many peoples' lives. We should all acknowledge & be proud of our fellow 'humanitarians'. We too, can make a difference, by helping & supporting NBSR.
